We are always looking for new students interested in multimedia production. We pride ourselves in being a diverse and enriching environment that can help you grow and develop your skills further. The Studio’s main hiring process occurs in early Fall and Spring. However, we accept applications on a rolling basis in case a new position opens up. Please note that if you are hired, you will need to attend a mandatory training session in September.

Multimedia Assistant (formerly Video Production Assistant)

Part-time employees that support the development, production, and marketing of Studio 22 digital content and the teaching of media production skills to the UCLA community. These staff members work under the supervision of the Student Supervisors, Principal Producer, Learning Center Manager and Associate Director for Residential Life. All MMAs responsibilities include the following:

  • Attend and successfully complete position-specific training

  • Proper and careful use of Studio 22 production equipment

  • Attend weekly staff meetings

  • Submit bi-weekly timesheets in a timely manner

  • Prioritize, organize, and manage multiple projects concurrently to meet deadlines

  • Execute equipment protocols and administrative tasks

  • Develop new ideas to advance Studio 22’s efforts

  • Additional duties as assigned

Multimedia Lead (formerly Video Production Senior)

Part-time employees that work closely with the Multimedia Supervisors to lead position-specific projects in addition to carrying out Multimedia Assistant duties. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Attend and successfully complete position-specific training

  • Proper and careful use of Studio 22 production equipment

  • Attend weekly staff meetings

  • Submit bi-weekly timesheets in a timely manner

  • Prioritize, organize, and manage multiple projects concurrently to meet deadlines

  • Execute equipment protocols and administrative tasks

  • Develop new ideas to advance Studio 22’s efforts

  • Communicate regularly with the Principal Producer and Multimedia Supervisors

  • Support the academic success of Multimedia Assistants

  • Mentor Multimedia Assistants

  • Additional duties as assigned

Multimedia Supervisor (formerly Video Production Supervisor)

Part-time employees that assist in the supervision of Multimedia Assistants. Support, develop, and supervise all Studio 22 productions and efforts. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Attend and successfully complete Supervisor training

  • Work with other Multimedia Supervisors to support and lead all Multi-Media Assistants

  • Critique and give feedback on content created by Multimedia Assistants

  • Assign tasks to Multimedia Assistants and keep track of project status and deadlines

  • Supervise MMAC protocol and administrative tasks

  • Attend and participate in the presentation of weekly staff meetings

  • Assist with the hiring of team members

  • Communicate regularly with the Principal Producer

  • Meet with Multimedia Assistants on an as-needed basis

  • Submit paperwork (bi-weekly timesheets and reports) in a timely fashion

  • Additional duties as assigned

We are not currently hiring for the Multimedia Supervisor position.
